2k Kids’ Dash – Harcourts Cooper & Co Devonport Half Marathon

2k Kids’ Dash

2K KIDS' DASH

Kids ... start your engines! What a great course for the kids' dash with all the thrill of starting under the same arch as the adults and charging along the fully closed King Edward Parade.

The kids tear off towards the Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay, turning just after Cambridge Terrace. On the way back, they join the shell path and follow the adults into the finish line around the harbour side promenade. Then it's all guns blazing for the big finish down then chute in Windsor Reserve. What a thrill!

Every kid receives their own finisher medal - just like the adults! - and will accrue points in the season-long Auckland Half Marathon Series. Kids are also eligible for their own special set of spot prizes in the draw so kids - make sure mum and dad don't leave early!

 The Course

The kid's course takes places entirely within the road closure area on King Edward Parade. Starting under the same massive start arch as the adults, our future Olympians will charge down King Edward Parade towards the navy museum.

Just before halfway, they will do a 360 to head back the way they came. At the 3/4 mark they will bear off the road and onto the shell seawall path that takes them all the way around the east and south of Windsor Reserve before the glorious gallop down the finish line!
